Chatham home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Chatham, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $67,500 while total sales remained unchanged with 56 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 56 homes sold, with a median sale price of $160,000 - a 73% increase over the $92,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 56 homes sold in Chatham in the fourth quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Chatham for 2017 was $2,434.98. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,371.90. This marks an increase of 2.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
