Burnside home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Burnside, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $7,250 while total sales increased by 29.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 70 homes sold, with a median sale price of $69,750 - a 9.4% decrease over the $77,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 54 homes sold in Burnside in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Burnside for 2017 was $2,035.57. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,956.80. This marks an increase of 4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.9%.
