Near West Side home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Near West Side, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $12,750 while total sales decreased by 12.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 119 homes sold, with a median sale price of $405,000 - a 3.3% increase over the $392,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 136 homes sold in Near West Side in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Near West Side for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,713.70, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
