Clearing home prices fall in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Clearing, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $1,000 while total sales increased by 17.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 135 homes sold, with a median sale price of $197,000 - a 0.5% decrease over the $198,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 115 homes sold in Clearing in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Clearing for 2017 was $3,024. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,969. This marks an increase of 1.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
