Lincoln Park home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Lincoln Park, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $41,000 while total sales decreased by 7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 1,528 homes sold, with a median sale price of $528,500 - a 8.4% increase over the $487,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 1,643 homes sold in Lincoln Park in 2016.

The median sales tax in Lincoln Park for 2017 was $7,765. In 2016, the median sales tax was $7,424. This marks an increase of 4.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
