Garfield Ridge home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Garfield Ridge, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $11,500 while total sales increased by 7.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 490 homes sold, with a median sale price of $215,000 - a 5.7% increase over the $203,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 454 homes sold in Garfield Ridge in 2016.

The median sales tax in Garfield Ridge for 2017 was $3,052. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,986. This marks an increase of 2.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
