Little Village home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Little Village, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $42,000 while total sales increased by 14.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 279 homes sold, with a median sale price of $132,000 - a 46.7% increase over the $90,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 243 homes sold in Little Village in 2016.

The median sales tax in Little Village for 2017 was $2,774. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,698. This marks an increase of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
