Heart of Chicago home prices fall in February 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2017 in Heart of Chicago, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $33,000 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2017, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $214,500 - a 13.3% decrease over the $247,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Heart of Chicago in February 2016.

The median sales tax in Heart of Chicago for 2017 was $4,428. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,230. This marks an increase of 4.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
