Village of Cherry Valley Recreation Board met July 31.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Chairman Scott Kramer called the meeting to order at 7:07 PM. A Roll Call was taken by Deputy Clerk, Heather Riley:

Others Present: Village President Jim E. Claeyssen, Trustee David Schroeder, Sergeant Pearse, Officer Fulton and Deputy Clerk Heather Riley

ADOPT THE AGENDA: Scott Kramer moved to amend the agenda to add 4th of July under UNFINISHED BUSINESS and to adopt the agenda. Dan Jarocki seconded. Motion carried by voice vote.

APPROVE THE MINUTES: Scott Kramer moved to approve the minutes from the June 26, 2019 meeting. Judy Prisby seconded. Motion carried by voice vote.

EX-OFFICIO’S REPORT: David Schroeder. No Report. 

PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

1. National Night Out (August 6, 2019) – Sergeant Pearse stated that everything is coming together nicely. In place of the obstacle course from last year there will be three sets of cornhole (bags) set up for people to play. Giant Jenga will also be available to set up and play. Lori Kuhn will roll out the first pitch for the kickball game. In place of the dunk tank from last year, Scott Kramer will be doing an introduction to pickle ball after the kickball game is over.

2. Street Dance – One of the best turn outs for a Street Dance in a long time. Scott Kramer asked that the committee think of an activity to add to the street dance, one suggestion was to ask Mernard’s to donate a building kit for the kids to construct.

3. 4th Of July – See report attached.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Fall Fishing Money – Scott Kramer moves to request up to $300.00 for the Fall Fishing event. Dan Jarocki seconded. Motion carried by voice vote.

2. Reminder No August Meeting – There will be no meeting in August. The next Recreation Board meeting will be September

ADJOURNMENT: Scott Kramer entertained a motion to adjourn at 8:05 PM. Jill Wedig seconded. Motion carried by voice vote.
