Cook County Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 12.
Dr. Oluwatoyin Adeyemi was awarded by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago for her work regarding aging with HIV. Cynthia Tucker, Vice President of Prevention and Community Partnerships at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, presented the award.
Dr. Adeyemi was the keynote speaker of the event, which centered on care for older patients living with HIV. Nearly half the patients being cared for at the CORE Center are over the age of 50.
