Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) have announced the return of the Taste of Chicago, scheduled for September 5-7, 2025. The event will culminate with a grand finale in Grant Park after a series of neighborhood celebrations. These include events in Marquette Park on June 28, Pullman Park on July 19, and Albany Park on August 9. Each celebration is free and open to the public.
“Taste of Chicago is a celebration of everything that makes our city vibrant—our neighborhoods, our food and our music,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “This year’s Taste honors our communities, while also bringing the city together at our beautiful lakefront.”
The festival will feature an array of performances from Grammy-winning artists including Lupe Fiasco on Friday, JoJo on Saturday, and Elvis Crespo closing out the weekend. Evening performances are set to begin at 5 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to showcase the incredible culinary and cultural diversity of Chicago through this year’s Taste,” said DCASE Commissioner Clinée Hedspeth. “Whether you’re dancing in Albany Park or enjoying a sweet treat in Grant Park, Taste of Chicago is where Chicagoans come together to experience the flavor of our city."
The event will feature 45 vendor booths with an expanded Snack Shack section hosting four vendors — one more than last year. In addition to traditional food booths, there will be 17 food trucks offering diverse culinary experiences. Approximately 20% of these vendors are new participants this year.
Sam Toia, President and CEO of the Illinois Restaurant Association remarked: “Taste of Chicago is a celebration of the restaurants, chefs and cultures that shape our city’s vibrant food scene.”
New vendors for Grant Park include Beat Kitchen Cantina among others while returning favorites like Eli’s Cheesecake will also be present.
Taste sponsors such as Goose Island Beer Company and Disney Resorts contribute to enhancing the festival experience through sponsored areas like Goose Island Stage showcasing local talent.
