Thank you for your continued participation in the selection process of the 2019 joint CMAP and RTA call for projects conducted from September 17 to October 18, 2019. Staff will provide an update on the evaluation process and timeline for approval of the recommended FY21 Project Group. ACTION REQUESTED: Information/Discussion
5.0 Guide on Local Incentives for Economic Development
Many communities allocate some of their limited funding to economic development incentives, often without policies or procedures in place that target these resources toward meeting community or regional goals. Drawing on previous CMAP analysis, staff are developing a guide for local communities on the use of incentive policies. Staff will review the project’s initial findings, potential recommendations, and upcoming activities. ACTION REQUESTED: Information / Discussion
6.0 APA’s Housing Policy Guide
Communities are facing unprecedented housing challenges, and planners are working on the frontlines alongside elected officials and community leaders to address the crisis. APA’s Housing Policy Guide details actionable solutions that planners can use to advocate for critical policy changes at the local, state, and federal levels. Committee member Angela Brooks will provide an overview of the policy principles that make up APA’s Planning Home Action Agenda to help committee members address housing challenges –including accessibility, affordability, and availability.

7.0 Metropolitan Mayor Caucus Census 2020 Update & Age-Friendly Communities Collaborative (AFCC)
Staff from the Caucus will update the committee on their ongoing efforts to help the region achieve a complete count in the 2020 Census. In addition, the Caucus will provide an overview on the AFCC, with discussion on aging in place and potential next steps and activities.

8.0 2020 Work Plan
Staff will present results from the January LUHC Survey along with a draft 2020 Work Plan for committee members to review.
