There were 31 offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole near Illinois zip code 60651 during the first half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Chicago City Wire.

The data shows that 28 men and three women were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for property crimes was 33. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 64-year-old man sentenced in 2017.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Ihab Ihmud. He was convicted of a property crime in 2014 when he was 23 years old. He is now 28.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
