Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60641?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live near Illinois zip code 60641, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Chicago City Wire.

The data shows that nine men and two women were released in Chicago zip code. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 50-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ricardo Degante. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2013, when he was 23 years old. He is now 31.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
