Village of Cherry Valley Board of Trustees met March 24.

PRESIDENT JIM E. CLAEYSSEN CALLED THE EMERGENCY VILLAGE BOARD MEETING TO
ORDER AT 3:03 PM AND LED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
A roll call was taken by Village Clerk Kathy Trimble:
JIM ALSBURY PRESENT SALLY HOLLEMBEAK PRESENT
NANCY BELT PRESENT JEFF O’HARA PRESENT
JEFF FUSTIN PRESENT DAVID SCHROEDER PRESENT
Also present: Public Works Director Chuck Freeman, Treasurer Maureen Gumowski, Police Chief Robert Swank, and Village Clerk Kathy Trimble.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA:
Trustee Schroeder moved to adopt the Agenda. Trustee Fustin seconded All “Aye;” none opposed. Motion carried by voice vote.
APPROVAL OF THE VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES:
PUBLIC COMMENT: No one signed up for Public Comment.
TREASURER’S REPORT: No Report.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
1. Village Board review of the village’s tentative FY2020-2021 Administration, Police, Public Works, Building and Grounds, Streets, Water, Capital Improvements, Parks and Motor Fuel Budgets.
President Claeyssen stated the reason for this emergency meeting was due to the fact that over the last 14 days there has not only been many changes to the budget but changes occurring at a rapid pace as it relates to projected revenues since stores and restaurants have had to close for the time being due to social distancing requirements in regards to COVID-19. The Department Heads and the Treasurer have been working on the budget. The village board may have to look at the budget again half way through the fiscal year and pass a budget amendment ordinance.
Village Board discussion then occurred on the proposed FY 2020-2021 Village Budget.

ADJOURNMENT: Trustee Schroeder made a motion to adjourn the meeting and continue this budget discussion at the Special Village Board Meeting scheduled for 7:00PM tonight. seconded by Trustee Hollembeak. All “Aye”, none opposed. Motion carried by voice vote.
