One arrest on W. Lunt Avenue during recent protests

Police 03

There was at least one person arrested on W. Lunt Avenue during the recent protests, according to a freedom of information request.

When asked to break out arrests related specifically to the protests, the Chicago Police Department declined and responded that “it has been determined your request is unduly burdensome based on the number of records requested.”

For a time, Chicago police officers had days off canceled and were required to work 12-hour shifts to try and control the looting.

Of the 2,826 arrested, at least 156 are registered voters who have voted in recent elections. 149 of those voted Democrat and 7 voted Republican.

Across the country, there have been thousands of people who were arrested during the recent protests along with property damage listed in the billions of dollars.

Records are accurate as of June 12. Individuals arrested are presumed innocent.
