About 90.7 percent of the 807 degrees and certificates handed out by the Moody Bible Institute in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Chicago conferred 531 bachelor's degrees and 168 master's degrees in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in bible/biblical studies. Data shows the school gave out 136 bachelor's degrees in bible/biblical studies, followed by 102 bachelor's degrees in missions/missionary studies and missiology and 81 bachelor's degrees in pastoral studies/counseling.

The institute enrolled 3,086 students for 2017-18, including 2,446 in undergraduate programs and 640 in graduate programs.
