About 54.4 percent of the 5,492 degrees and certificates handed out by DeVry University-Illinois in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Chicago conferred 1527 master's degrees and 1212 bachelor's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in health information/medical records technology/technician. Data shows the school gave out 1139 certificates in health information/medical records technology/technician, followed by 783 master's degrees in general business administration and management and 766 bachelor's degrees in "other" business administration, management and operations.

The university enrolled 17,364 students for 2017-18, including 13,068 in undergraduate programs and 4,296 in graduate programs.
