American Islamic College enrolls nine undergrads

At American Islamic College, 56 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 56 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Chicago enrolled 16 students in fall 2018, including nine in undergraduate and seven in graduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (44 percent) and white (22 percent).
