Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the HVAC Technical Institute

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the HVAC Technical Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $15,000 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 24 students received grants or scholarships totaling $59,954 and 58 students took out student loans totaling more than $566,612.

Including all undergraduates (118), 75 students used grants or scholarships totaling $178,989, and 74 students took out $295,213 in federal student loans.
