Cost of college went up for all students at DeVry University-Illinois

Tuition and fees rose 1.1 percent for 2018-19 at DeVry University-Illinois, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $17,509 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $193 more than the $17,316 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 245 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.5 million and 230 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (17,364), 10,673 students used grants or scholarships totaling $51.6 million, and 9,485 students took out $69.2 million in federal student loans.
