1.8 percent of Loyola University Chicago students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 1.8 percent of Loyola University Chicago students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Loyola University Chicago has 11,919 undergraduate students, of which 67 percent are women and 33 percent are men, and a total student body of 17,007 students. Of these students, 149 men and 160 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Loyola University Chicago with the most participants are all track combined (159), soccer (52) and volleyball (32).
