Cook County Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.
Practice the 3 W’s to slow the spread of germs:
* Wear a mask: #MASKUP in public settings – indoors and outdoors – when around people who don’t live in your household.
* Watch your distance: Avoid crowded places and gatherings where it may be difficult to maintain a distance of 6 feet from others.
* Wash your hands: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. Use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol, if soap and water are not available.
