Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners Will Meet September 22

Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

PUBLIC BUDGET FORUM

To protect the public’s health and in adherence with Senate Bill 2135, Article 15, Section 15-5 and the Amended Open Meetings Act 5ILCS 120 Section (7) Subsection (e), (4) and in continued adherence of the Governor’s Order’s which includes social distancing guidelines, the public budget forum for all parks throughout the city will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 via an electronic platform at 6 p.m.

We encourage patrons to provide input on the Chicago Park District 2021 budget by completing the Budget Ideas Submission form. Copy and paste the link below into your browser in order to access this form.

Those wishing to present their ideas at the September 22nd Budget Forum should indicate this in the related question on the Budget Ideas Submission form. Submissions must be made by 10 a.m. on September 21st in order to be presented at the forum.

Questions to consider when submitting a budget idea:

* What one service or program in our parks needs more funding? * How would you cut back in the event of a funding deficit?

* How would you spend $100 to improve your park?

The input received will assist the Chicago Park District in its 2021 budget planning process.

The Chicago Park District relies on its patrons for input to provide quality programming and amenities that cater to each unique Chicago neighborhood. We are asking taxpayers to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to be a voice in the process and help shape their local parks. Thanks in advance for your time and input.
