Cook County Hospital issued the following announcement on Nov. 26.
As the Thanksgiving holiday begins, Cook County Health reminds you to make smart, healthy choices at the dinner table. Choose dishes that have fresh fruits and vegetables and don’t contain heavy amounts of butter, creams and sugars. It’s OK to treat yourself – who doesn’t love a slice of pecan pie? Just make sure servings are done in moderation.
And maybe start the day with a walk to burn some calories before the big meal.
Get on the right track to eating healthy this holiday season.
