The Chicago Bulls won’t have fans attending games this season due to COVID-19 and have opted to stop selling season tickets for next season.

Those who already purchased season tickets for the 2020-21 season, or were credited for the season from the 2019-20 season will be credited for the 2021-22 season. The season ticket plans and seats from ticket holders will be held for the next year. That process for renewal begins in February and the team will provide more updates closer to that time.

“The health and safety of our fans, players and staff remains our top priority, and after careful consideration in collaboration with the NBA and city and state officials, we will not be hosting fans in the United Center for the beginning of the NBA season,” Jacqui Iorio, the director of guest services, said in an email.

The team will continue to monitor the situation and if single-game tickets are made available, it will notify season ticket holders immediately and give them priority to purchase those tickets.

The team will also host virtual events for season ticket holders and provide other benefits, including monthly at-home experiences and premium gifts, personal assistance from the service team, and priority access for purchasing single-game tickets if that is a possibility later in the season.

Iorio wrote that there would also be more premium benefits throughout the season for season ticket holders.

“We appreciate your continued support and while we may not be together at the United Center to start the season, we remain committed to you as an important part of our Bulls family,” Iorio said in the email.

The season begins on Dec. 22. The team will continue to update fans throughout the season of any changes that occur. Iorio urged anyone with questions to contact guest services.
