City of Wheaton City Council met Nov. 23.

I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the City of Wheaton Special Service Area Number Two (Central Business District) for 2020 will be held on November 23, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. at the City of Wheaton, City Hall, 303 West Wesley Street, Wheaton, Illinois 60187.

II. The Special Service Area Number Two property taxes extended or abated for 2019 were $39,802.05.
The proposed Special Service Area Number Two property taxes to be levied for 2020 are $78,500.00. This represents a 97.23% increase over the previous year.
III. The Special Service Area Number Two property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2019 were $0.00.
The estimated Special Service Area Number Two property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2020 are $0.00. This represents a 0.00% increase over the previous year.
IV. The total Special Service Area Number Two property taxes extended or abated for 2019 were $39,802.05.
The estimated total Special Service Area Number Two property taxes to be levied for 2020 are $78,500.00. This represents a 97.23% increase over the previous year.
