March for Life Chicago Carries Huge Midwest Celebration of Life Across State Boundaries

Babyheart760

(January 14, 2021 – Chicago) Thousands of life advocates will gather in cities across the Midwest as part of the March for Life Chicago’s Moving the Movement Tour. The 2021 multivenue event springs from the annual March for Life Chicago and is designed to speak on behalf of life and against abortion in a way that is respectful of Covid-19 prevention restrictions that place limitations on large gatherings and interstate travel.

Rather than drawing thousands of people from all over the Midwest to march side by side through downtown Chicago, March for Life Chicago organizers have arranged for a lineup of noted voices for life to address a series of drive-in rallies and car processions. Participants will advocate for an end to abortion, gathering at key locations in Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, and Wisconsin, with the tour culminating in the final, January 23, Chicago Loop event.

"The March for Life Chicago has, from its very start, inspired people to take action. Over recent years, we have expanded beyond Chicago to include the entire Midwest,” shared March for Life Chicago Executive Director Kevin Grillot. “This year, in an adjustment prompted by the coronavirus pandemic, we are taking the March to six different venues to unite and inspire members of the pro-life movement to take action in their communities.”

The March for Life Chicago Moving the Movement Tour kicked off on January 2 in Madison, Wisconsin, with a drive-in rally at the Alliant Energy Center. United States Congressmen Mike Gallagher and Bryan Steil, and Bishop Donald Hying of the Archdiocese of Madison were among those addressing the crowd.

Upcoming gatherings feature federal and state elected officials, religious leaders, medical professionals, executives, students, and pro-life leaders. Combined, the six March for Life Chicago Moving the Movement Tour stops feature one of the largest collections of pro-life voices ever heard in the Midwest.
