Cook County Hospital issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
With all the snow and below freezing temperatures, we all may be feeling a little bit blue. Here are some tips to help combat the winter blues:
1. Get enough exercise
2. Eat a healthy diet
3. Be sure to get enough sunlight each day – open those curtains
4. Take some time for yourself each day – write in a journal or cozy up on the couch
5. Make sure your Vitamin D levels are OK
If these tips don't help or you experience these feelings for a longer period of time, reach out to your provider to talk about your options.
