Former ICE Acting Director Homan says Biden's immigration policies sell security for political power

Former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Thomas Homan discussed the negative impact of ending the Migrant Protection Protocol during an interview with Chicago’s Morning Answer.

“If I was a White House reporter,” Homan suggested, “I will ask, why are you releasing these families in the United States when you know based on the Homeland Security Immigration Life Cycle report that just came out several months ago, that out of hundreds of thousands of families that entered this country had due process, at great taxpayer expense were ordered and removed by a judge. Hundreds of thousands of people, less than 3% have left.”

“Ninety-seven percent  won't leave because they’re going to hang out for the next giveaway program," said Homan.

Homan said that “we had the most secured border” under former President Trump. He blamed Biden for putting himself in front of the country securing votes from illegal immigrants.

Homan argued that when “knowing 90 percent don’t qualify or are committing immigration fraud, knowing that 97 percent will never leave, after going to court and getting ordered removed. Why would you release them knowing these data points?”

He also added that people with COVID cases were also allowed  to come in.

“This is all about their future political power and they are selling our security for it,” he added.
