Village of Brighton Board of Trustees Met March 23.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by Mayor Wilfong at 7:00p.m.

2. Pledge of Allegiance:

3. Roll Call: Present: Matt Kasten, Brad Arnold, Aaron Mead, John Bramley, Dala Lawrence, Attorney Rick Stewart, Mayor Marcella Wilfong, & Clerk Cynthia Tucker. Absent: Fred Benz.

4. Public Comment: Steve Bozarth spoke about notes from the Public Safety Meeting on August 17, 2020 ru1cl had in his notes that Mark Fitzgerald stated he was needing some relief ti.me as he was working long hours and had personal issues going on and on the Police Association - that association was an idea brought up and spoken about at the Public Safety meeting and Mayor Roberts supported the idea of forming a Brighton Police Association, but it was not approved by the Board so Mayor Roberts then said we could not form the Police Association or an Account. Mayor Roberts requested the funds that were received for the Brighton Police Department ru1d put into the account that had been deposited under the name Brighton Police Association be returned and to the Village Police Department account and all unspent finds were returned at that time.

Roll Call to go into Closed Session for the purpose of discussing the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, pe1fo11nance, or dismissal of a specific employee of the Village of Brighton, with possible action to be taken: Aru-011 Mead made a motion to enter into closed session, 2nd by Matt Kasten.

Roll Call: 5 Yeas- 0 Nays. Motion Carried 5-0.

6. Adjournment of Closed Session: John Bramley made a motion to adjourn closed session, 2nd by Matt Kasten.

Roll Call: 5 Yeas; 0 Nays. Motion Carried 5-0.

7. Roll Call vote to resume regular open meeting: Present: Matt Kasten, Brad Arnold, Aaron Mead, John Brantley, Dala Lawrence. Absent: Fred Benz.

8. Discussion consideration and/or possible vote on executive session items: Mayor Wilfong asked the board if they would like to make any motion regarding Mark: Fitzgeralds termination. No Motions were made. Mayor Wilfong asked would anyone like to make any other motions? No Motions were made.

9. Adjournment: Matt Kasten made a motion to adjourn at 7:35 p.m., 2nd by John Bramley. Motion Carried.
