Presentation and discussion on status of Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions Planning for Lake County.
∙ In September 2020, the Lake County Board passed a joint resolution committing Lake County Government Operations to Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
∙ The next step in the implementation of this policy is the development of Energy Efficiency and Waste Reduction plans.
∙ Staff will present an update and current status on the plan’s development.

Presentation and discussion regarding the results of a Single Use Plastic Study in Lake County
∙ At previous committee meetings, members requested that staff look at options to eliminate single use plastics in the County’s cafeteria.
∙ At the Committee’s October 6, 2021 meeting, Resource Recycling Systems (RRS) provided a presentation that summarized project approach regarding their analysis of options to eliminate single use plastics in the County’s cafeteria.
∙ RRS has completed their analysis and will present their findings with options. Attachments: SingleUsePlasticStudy_10.28.21

Update and discussion of decision points regarding the implementation of a Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (CPACE) Program in Lake County.
∙ An update regarding the implementation of the CPACE program was provided at the Committee’s October 6, 2021 meeting.
∙ Staff will review current status and discuss program-related items that require Committee Direction in preparation for December action by the County Board, and program go-live.
