Update and discussion on Lake County’s infrastructure priorities related to Federal Community Project Funding requests.
∙ In 2021, staff created a capital priorities booklet that was presented and shared with our federal delegation for various federal funding opportunities. This resulted in Lake County recently receiving over $14M in federal funding for numerous Lake County infrastructure projects.
∙ Application rounds for additional funding opportunities are opening and as such, staff has created a 2022 version of the capital priorities booklet to include current priorities from the Stormwater Management Commission, the Division of Transportation, Public Works, and Facilities & Construction.
∙ Staff will review this booklet and how it relates to current discussions with Federal Legislator staff related to Community Project Funding Requests.
