Update and discussion on the State of Illinois 2022 Legislative Sessions.

Discussion regarding possible amendments to the 2022 Legislative Agenda related to firearm regulations.
∙ The Legislative Committee received a request to consider possible amendments to the current legislative program to include support related to the ban of assault rifles, firearm safe storage law, and amendments to the FOID process.
∙ The topic will be discussed for potential amendments to the current or future Legislative Program.

Discussion regarding Lake County’s Fiscal Year 2023 Legislative Agenda.
∙ The County Board annually adopts a Legislative Program, developed by the Legislative Committee, and drafted based on input provided by county staff and board members.
∙ Staff will present topics for possible inclusion and review the process and timeline for adoption of the program.
