About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to residents of the 012 and 014th Districts of aggravated robberies, in which the victims are all approached by the offender who implies he has a weapon, states "do you wanna get shot" and then takes their purses.
Incident time and location:
• 1400 North Block of Leavitt St on September 23rd @ 11:44 PM
• 800 North Block of Hoyne Ave on September 24th @ 1:15 AM
• 2000 West Block of LeMoyne Ave on September 25th @ 1:00 AM
Offender Description:
Male African american, 20-30 yoa, 6'00-6'02, 140-160lbs, implies he has a gun
What you can do:
• Be aware of your surroundings and unfamiliar or suspicious people in your area.
• Do not try to rationalize or confront offenders, it could lead to possible injury
• Park in well-lit areas and in areas where there is pedestrian and vehicular traffic
• Notify neighbors of this crime pattern. If you see something suspicious, alert police immediately.
• Call 911 immediately if you are a victim or witness to a crime and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) and involved vehicles.
