Narrative: The above offender was arrested by members of the Chicago Police Department’s Mass Transit Unit on October 6, 2022, at 8:34 p.m., in the 800 block of N. State St. (18th District). The offender was observed standing in a restricted area inside a CTA train car and had what appeared to be a firearm in his waistband. Officers approached the male offender and were able to successfully place him in custody as he attempted to flee the area. A weapon was recovered by the officers and the offender was subsequently charged accordingly.
