VII. Old Business
International Day of Music: Scheduled for October 1 at the band shell. Still awaiting confirmation of availability of venue before contacting choirs. The library patio area is available, but before we commit we will wait for Park District availability. Randy and Laurie will be responsible for signing up buskers. A definite fee has not been established. David will contact high schools regarding choral participation. Dee will check “Sounds Good Choir”. All choirs are required to sing “It’s a Small World, Isn’t it?” Before we contact choral groups we must have venue commitment.
New Commission Member process : Mayor Suess and Mike Bock discussed the procedure and the process. It appears that the City Council and Mayor should always make the appointments. Mike will check with City Manager and see if any of our suggestions were used in the new code requirements.
Dee Hicks moved and Sarah Antas seconded that we adjourn at 6:58. Motion approved by unanimous voice vote.
