City of Wheaton Firefighters' Pension Fund Board met Oct. 11.

A special meeting of the Wheaton Firefighters' Pension Fund Board of Trustees was held at 7:15 a.m. in the Wheaton Fire Station #1 located at 1 Fapp Circle, Wheaton, Illinois 60187, pursuant to notice.
CALL TO ORDER: Trustee Skilondz called the meeting to order at 7:14 a.m.
ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Trustees Jason Skilondz, John Cochran and Michael Savegnago
ABSENT: Trustees Rick Kammes and Charles Hartman
ALSO PRESENT: Molly Weslow (via teleconference), Lauterbach & Amen, LLP (L&A)
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
MEMBERSHIP/WITHDRAWALS APPLICATIONS FOR FROM FUND AND/OR RETIREMENT AND/OR DISABILITY BENEFITS: Approve Regular Retirement Benefits - Jeffrey MacKay: The Board reviewed the regular retirement benefit calculation for Jeffrey MacKay prepared by L&A. Assistant Chief MacKay had an entry date of September 14, 1995, retirement date of October 2, 2022, effective date of pension of October 3, 2022, 57 years of age at date of retirement, 27 years of creditable service, applicable salary of $151,673.11, applicable pension percentage of 67.5%, amount of originally granted monthly pension of $8,531.61 and amount of originally granted annual pension of $102,379.32. A motion was made by Trustee Cochran and seconded by Trustee Savegnago to approve Jeffrey MacKay's regular retirement benefit calculated by L&A. Motion carried by roll call vote.
AYES: Trustees Skilondz, Savegnago and Cochran
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Trustees Kammes and Hartman
CLOSED SESSION, IF NEEDED: There was no need for closed session.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Trustee Savegnago and seconded by Trustee Cochran to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 a.m. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for November 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
