Major Accidents- Seeking to Identify Hit/ Run JF488493 | CPD
About this Crime:
Major Accident Investigators are seeking information on the above-pictured vehicle wanted for leaving the scene of a serious personal injury hit-and-run traffic crash in the 4th Police District. On November 26th, 2022, at approximately 1:55 pm, an elderly pedestrian was crossing 87th Street in the crosswalk at Commercial Avenue. While crossing a dark-colored, possible late model 2011-2016, Ford (possible F250 or F350) FX4 model, pick-up truck, with possible silver-colored lower trim, having a ladder rack, chrome/silver-colored running boards, Bull Bars/grille guard (a heavy-duty blackcolored metal front grille protector) in the front of the vehicle, also having a large possible white-colored circular sticker/emblem on the tailgate on the passenger side of the vehicle, struck the pedestrian.
As a result of the crash, the elderly pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver and striking pick-up truck fled southbound in the alley from the scene.
