Darrione Rogers Named BIG EAST Player of the Week | DePaul University Athletics
DePaul junior guard Darrione Rogers was selected BIG EAST Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Monday after posting the program's sixth triple-double in program history against Howard as the Blue Demons went 2-0 last week.
Rogers registered the first triple-double by a BIG EAST player in nearly three years with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in an 81-56 win over the Bison. She drained four three-pointers and added two blocks and two steals in the victory.
In a BIG EAST win over Georgetown on Sunday, Rogers recorded 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals as DePaul extended its winning streak to five games and winners of eight of the last nine.
For the week Rogers averaged 19.5 points per game, 7.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists.
DePaul (8-3, 2-0 BIG EAST) will close out its non-conference slate on Wednesday, Dec. 21 when Louisville visits Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. on FS1.
