DePaul sophomore forward Aneesah Morrow was selected to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Midseason Watch List as announced by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) on Wednesday afternoon. The list is comprised of the top 21 players in women's college basketball and includes five student-athletes from the BIG EAST Conference.
 
Morrow is averaging 26.1 points per game to rank fourth in the nation while collecting 12.1 rebounds per game which is good for sixth. Her 12 double-doubles this season is third in Division I. Last season's National Freshman of the Year has put up 15 20-point performances in 16 games as a sophomore including four outings of 30+. Morrow broke the program's single-game scoring record that stood for 31 seasons with a dazzling 45-point performance in a win over Northwestern on Dec. 10.
 
In BIG EAST play, Morrow is second in scoring (28.4), first in rebounding (13.8) and first in steals (3.4). 
 
Through 49 career games, the Chicago native has scored 1,140 points and collected 650 rebounds and continues to climb DePaul's record book, sitting at 36th in scoring and 16th in rebounds. Morrow's 39 double doubles is good for 12th among active players across the NCAA.
 
The winner of the 2022-23 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award will be announced at the Final Four in Dallas and formally recognized at the USBWA's College Basketball Awards on Monday, April 10 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis. She will be joined in St. Louis by the Oscar Robertson Trophy winner as the men's national player of the year.
 
The women's and men's national coaches of the year and the two national freshman players of the year will be honored as well, the winners of the Wayman Tisdale Award and Tamika Catchings Award.
