About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 007th District (Englewood) of recent Robbery incidents that occurred in the month of February. In each incident, offender approaches on foot and displays a Black handgun. Offender demanding the Victim's property and offender(s) flee the scene on foot. These incidents have occurred in the general geographical locations listed below:

Incident times and locations:

•  6400 Block of South Sangamon Street on February 2, 2023 at 1:00PM.
•  6600 Block of South Green Street on January 23, 2023 at 2:40 PM.

About the offenders:

One or Two African American Male, 5'06 "- 6'02", 130-150 pounds, 25-35 years old.

What you can do:

•  Always be aware of your surroundings
•  Report suspicious activity immediately
•  If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
•  Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc...)
•  Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
•  If video surveillance equipment is present, please save a copy of the incident for investigating detectives
•  If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
•  Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
