About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to residents of the 014th District of recent armed robberies, in which the victims are approached by the offenders who display handguns, point the guns either at victim, and demand the victim's personal property (wallet, backpacks, cash, laptops, air pods, and cellphone). Victims seen getting into a Silver or Gray KIA SUV (Illinois reg. #DN4897-partial plate)

•  3500 Block of West Le Moyne Ave on February 4, 2023 @ 6:30 AM
•  1700 Block of West Bloomingdale Ave on February 7, 2023 @ 6:26 PM
•  1600 Block of North Winnebago Ave on February 7, 2023 @ 7:03 PM
•  1700 Block of North Claremont Ave on February 7, 2023 @ 7:05 PM

Offender Description:

2-3 male black subjects, 15-21 years of age, 5'05-5'08, 140-160lbs, wearing dark or all black clothing with hoods and masks, armed with handguns

What you can do:

•  Be aware of your surroundings and unfamiliar or suspicious people in your area.
•  Walk with groups of individuals and do not carry large sums of money.
•  Do not try to rationalize or confront offenders, it could lead to possible injury
•  Park in well-lit areas and in areas where there is pedestrian and vehicular traffic
•  Notify neighbors of this crime pattern. If you see something suspicious, alert police immediately.
•  Call 911 immediately if you are a victim or witness to a crime and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) and involved vehicles.
