About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to residents of the 9th, 10th, 12th, and 14th Districts of a pattern of armed robberies in the overnight and early morning hours. In these incidents, the victims are on foot, and a white Chrysler 300, occupied by three black males, pulls up to the victim's location. Two offenders exit the vehicle armed with firearms and demand the victim's belongings.

•  March 8, 2023 at 4:30 am on the 2200 block of N Milwaukee Ave
•  March 8, 2023 at 4:38 am on the 1700 block of W Armitage Ave
•  March 8, 2023 at 5:50 am on the 2200 block of N Milwaukee Ave
•  March 8, 2023 at 6:15 am on the 3600 Block of W 26th St
•  March 8, 2023 at 6:30 am on the 2100 Block of S Damen Ave
•  March 8, 2023 at 6:50 am on the 3100 block of W 40th St

 Offender description:

Three black males wearing dark clothing, hoodies, driving a white Chrysler 300. At least two of the offenders are armed with a firearm.

What you can do:

• Be aware of your surroundings, including other vehicles in traffic

• If you are confronted by an assailant try to remain calm

• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, tattoos, acne, hairstyle)

• Dial 911 immediately and remain on scene when possible

• Report suspicious activity immediately

• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
