DePaul's Leon Huck and Pablo Torres Almeida have been recognized as the BIG EAST men's doubles team of the week. The Monday morning announcement follows their Sunday performance against Illinois State University when the pair clinched the doubles point for the Blue Demons.
ISU and DePaul were tied with Huck and Torres as the last doubles match on. The duo gave DePaul the lead and earned the first point of the competition after clinching a hard fought 7-6 (10-4) win against their opponents. The pair have gone 7-2 so far this season.
DePaul men's tennis (8-10) found their way back into the win column after defeating ISU 4-3. The team continues to play down in Wilmington, N.C. today at 1 p.m. CT against the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
