Few details have been released involving a shooting that left two people with gunshot wounds in the left field bleachers at Friday's White Sox game against the Oakland A's.

Chicago police reported that a 42-year-old woman was shot in the leg, and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition. A 26-year-old woman also was shot, suffering a graze wound to the abdomen. She declined medical attention.

By Monday morning, three days after the shooting incident, the circumstances of the shooting remained a mystery. Neither police nor White Sox officials has said whether the shots were fired inside the stadium.

One news outlet reported that police were seen looking for shell casings in an alley near 42nd Street and Princeton Avenue, which is about 7 blocks from Guaranteed Rate Field.

Later in the day, police interim Supt. Fred Waller said a theory that shots came from outside the stadium is "something that we've almost completely dispelled."

"We're still looking at every avenue. It's still under investigation.," Waller told reporters. "Something from inside, it could have happened that way. But we're looking at every avenue, exploring every lead and everything that we get. We're exploring."

White Sox spokesman Scott Reifert told the Associated Press that stadium security officials and police determined together there was "no active threat and that the ball came could continue." The team, however, cancelled a free post-game concert.
