Addison, IL — On August 29, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03) hosted her third Congressional Town Hall at Addison Trail High School to share with the community successes from her first eight months in Congress, including her legislation to restore GI Bill education benefits to defrauded student veterans advancing out of committee of and more than $13.5 million in federal funding for local projects.

Joined by special guest Illinois State Representative Norma Hernandez (District 77), Congresswoman Ramirez also shared her priorities for the rest of the legislative session - including avoiding a catastrophic government shutdown - and answered questions from constituents and attendees.

“It was important to me that we made time to host a third town hall to provide constituents the opportunity to hear about the work we have been doing in Washington. It is crucial that my office and I remain accessible,” said Congresswoman Ramirez. “I want to thank everyone who took the time to be with us. As a new member of Congress and someone who is deeply committed to making sure my work is aligned with the needs of our district, I am always grateful when I can hear directly from constituents. Your voice is critical to informing our work.”

“Regardless of what side of Congress we are, it is the responsibility of an elected official to deliver for their district. For the last eight months, I’ve been really assessing the work we can do together, building consensus and engaging in bipartisanship to deliver for the Illinois third congressional district,” said Congresswoman Ramirez.
