Niki Conforti, the GOP candidate for Congressional District 6, expressed her enthusiasm and shared a message of hope following her recent appearance at the Southwest Side GOP meeting.
“It was great to be on at the Southwest Side GOP meeting this week. Chicago GOP lead Steve Boulton gave a very encouraging talk,” Conforti said on Facebook.
“We can do this. We are closer than you think in turning things around. Stay strong and focus on the prize!!”
The Southwest Side GOP Club hosted a high-profile event on Monday, Oct. 16tat Bourbon Street, located at 3359 W. 115th Street. The event brought together Republican enthusiasts in the area and featured speeches from four prominent Illinois GOP leaders – Don Tracy - Former Illinois State Chairman, Sean Morrison - Former Cook County Chairman, Steve Boulton - Former Chicago Chairman and Richard Porter - Former Illinois RNC Representative. Attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from these key figures in the Illinois Republican Party. The event provided a platform for club members and attendees to engage in political discourse, network, and show their support for the GOP.
Conforti is seeking the GOP nomination to take on U.S. Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL) for a second time. In 2022, Conforti was one of a field of six GOP primary candidates seeking to represent Illinois District 6 in the U.S. House. She came in third in the June 28, 2022 primary with 11.4% of the vote. The GOP victor, Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau ended up with 38.7% of the vote. Pekau later lost to Casten in the general election.
