Dog wellness fair scheduled in River Grove

The Anti-Cruelty Society and the Village of River Grove will host a Dog Wellness Fair at the River Grove American Legion on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in partnership with the Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control, Commissioner Maggie Trevor, Mayor David Guerin, and State Representative Brad Stephens.

The fair will take place at the River Grove American Legion located at 8664 Grand Ave., River Grove, IL 60172. Activities planned for the event include physical exams for dogs, core vaccines such as Rabies, DHPP (Distemper), and Leptospirosis, microchipping services, referrals to other Anti-Cruelty programming, and sign-ups for free spay/neuter surgery.

Organizers have noted that leashes are required for all dogs attending the event. Attendees are also asked to bring their own muzzles if necessary. Services will be limited to the first 75 dogs.
