Chicago Fire FC concludes a three-game road stretch with a visit to face Seattle Sounders FC at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. The match, beginning at 9:30 p.m. CT, will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass and locally on wlsam.com (English) and WRTO 1200 AM (Spanish).

Seattle is currently on a three-game undefeated streak, having most recently defeated FC Dallas 3-2 at Lumen Field. Chicago has earned results in four of their last five matches, including a 2-1 home win against LA Galaxy and a 4-1 road win against Toronto FC before dropping a result in Orlando last weekend.

Despite the loss in Orlando, Chicago saw Maren Haile-Selassie and Hugo Cuypers add to their scoring accounts. With his third goal of the year, Haile-Selassie joined Cuypers as the only two Fire players to score in consecutive matches this season. Cuypers scored in his fourth consecutive match, tallying his team-leading seventh goal of the season.

Head Coach Frank Klopas made two changes to the lineup that faced Orlando City SC last Saturday.

Fabian Herbers will wear the captain’s armband against the Sounders. Herbers starts his 17th match of the season and is tied for the team lead with four assists.

Rafael Czichos returns to the starting lineup for the first time since receiving his U.S. green card, making his 17th start for Chicago this regular season.

Hugo Cuypers starts his 20th game of 2024, making him the only player to start every game for Chicago this regular season. Cuypers leads the team with seven goals and one assist, including goal contributions in five consecutive matches.

Chris Brady starts for the 19th time in the 2024 MLS regular season, having missed only one game due to international duty. With 50 career matches to his name, Brady becomes the fourth goalkeeper in club history to play 50 games for Chicago Fire FC, joining Zach Thornton, Sean Johnson, and John Busch.

Gastón Giménez returns to the starting lineup for the first time since May 18 against Columbus Crew at Soldier Field. The Formosa native makes his sixth start of the season and his 92nd overall with Chicago Fire FC.

Jonathan Dean will start his fifth straight match for Chicago Fire FC and seventh overall in 2024.

Allan Arigoni makes his 18th start of the season, having started every game he has played for Chicago Fire FC.

Carlos Terán starts his ninth straight game of the regular season and tenth overall in 2024.

Arnaud Souquet starts his seventh match of the 2024 MLS regular season for Chicago Fire FC.

Brian Gutiérrez makes his 16th MLS regular season start in 2024.

Maren Haile-Selassie starts for the twelfth time this season. With his goal against Orlando, he joined Cuypers as one of two Fire players who have scored in consecutive matches this year.

Defenders Chase Gasper (leg), Andrew Gutman (leg), Tobias Salquist (leg); midfielders Xherdan Shaqiri (national team) and Federico Navarro (leg) are unavailable for today’s match.

Available off the bench are goalkeepers Jeff Gal and Spencer Richey; defender Wyatt Omsberg; defender/midfielder Mauricio Pineda; midfielders Kellyn Acosta, Javier Casas Jr., Chris Mueller; forwards Tom Barlow and Georgios Koutsias.
